Custom rabbit enclosure for indoor or outdoor use

A rabbit that can hop around safely outside, or a spacious indoor enclosure where it feels at home: for both, we at Petfort, formerly Otten Pet Cages, build a custom rabbit enclosure that suits your rabbit as well as your home. Whether you keep one rabbit, a pair or several groups together, space, safety and easy maintenance are always the starting point, and a good enclosure is not just an enclosed space, but a place where your rabbit can exhibit its natural behavior, can shelter, and can rest without care. We therefore work in different designs: a rabbit enclosure outside for the garden or terrace, with waterproof roof and a sheltered sleeping or hiding place, free-standing or attached to a fence; a rabbit hutch inside for in the house, a barn or outbuilding, easy to keep clean and with plenty of space to move and nibble; and a custom-made rabbit enclosure for non-standard spaces, double tiers or a connection between inside and outside, with drawing, production and placement in-house.

A good rabbit enclosure always meets a few basic requirements: sufficient space to stretch, hop and sit upright, a waterproof roof and protection from wind and sun for outdoor enclosures, a sturdy construction of aluminum, galvanized steel or wood, good ventilation without drafts, corners that are easily accessible for cleaning, and in the case of group housing, multiple sleeping areas and escape routes. We work with materials that last for years and can withstand Dutch weather: aluminum for a light and sleek enclosure, galvanized steel for maximum sturdiness, wood for a warmer look, where we will determine together in the consultation which combination will work best based on your situation and the number of rabbits; if you are keeping several rabbits together, we will also look at group dynamics, as rabbits are social animals but need quiet escape areas to avoid stress. Having a custom-made rabbit enclosure made begins with a personal consultation; then, where possible, we come to your location to take measurements and discuss the practical details on site: placement, foundation, connection to existing garden layout and exit requirements.

You will then receive a drawing with materials, dimensions and price, and after approval we will build in our own workshop in Gemert and place at your home, throughout the Netherlands, Belgium or Germany. Our customers vary from individuals with one outdoor rabbit to shelters with several groups, and for every situation we make an appropriate enclosure.
