Animal shelters at Clusius Alkmaar

At Clusius Alkmaar, several animal shelters were recently installed that are specially equipped for education and practical lessons in animal care. These are a combination of intake enclosures, rodent enclosures and aviaries, all designed with hygiene, animal welfare and ease of use in mind.

12 recording enclosures on wheels

For the shelter of rabbits, 12 intake enclosures on wheels have been installed. These are easy to move, making them practical to use in different situations. Students can properly care for the animals and easily clean the enclosures.

Rodent housing with plexiglass fronts

In addition to the rabbit enclosures, small rodent enclosures with Plexiglas fronts have been added. These provide a good view of the animals, which is ideal for educational purposes and daily care by students.

Aviaries for birds

The site has been further expanded to include aviaries, creating a complete learning environment where students are introduced to the care of different animal species.
